Capture a webpage in three steps.

PageSnap works from the Safari toolbar and saves a lossless PNG directly on your Mac.

1

Enable PageSnap

Open Safari → Settings → Extensions, select PageSnap, and turn it on. Add its button to the Safari toolbar if it is not already visible.

2

Choose a capture

Open a normal website, click PageSnap, then choose Full Page, Visible Area, or Select Area.

3

Save your PNG

Keep the original page open until the local viewer says Screenshot ready. Your image can download automatically or be saved from the viewer.

Common issues and quick fixes.

Capture is unavailable on this page

PageSnap works on regular http:// and https:// webpages. Safari start pages, Settings, extension pages, local files, and other protected pages cannot be captured.

If you are on a regular website, reload the page and make sure Safari has allowed PageSnap access to that site.

A Full Page capture stops or looks incomplete

Keep the same Safari tab active and do not resize the window until capture finishes. For pages with lazy-loaded content, open PageSnap Settings and choose a 0.5, 1, or 2 second capture delay.

Pages that continually load new content or change size may not support one complete capture. Try Visible Area or capture the page in sections.

The page is too large to capture

Very long or wide pages can exceed Safari's safe image limits, especially on Retina displays. Use Visible Area or Select Area, or make several smaller captures.

The PNG did not download or the viewer did not open

Keep the original webpage open until the viewer says Screenshot ready. If automatic download is off or Safari blocks it, use Save PNG in the PageSnap viewer or in the ready card on the original page.

If the viewer shows a recovery message, return to the original page and capture it again.

Select Area keyboard controls

Drag over the part of the visible webpage you want. Press Enter to confirm the selection or Escape to cancel. Select Area is limited to the currently visible viewport.
